It's Tekko time! Come and visit us at Pittsburgh's Anime Convention this weekend! The JASP will have a booth all weekend as well as 3 panels:

Matsuri Fashion: Find out why your favorite characters look so cute in their yukata, jimbei, and happi. Katsuko Shellhammer will talk about the history of matsuri and the associated clothing, and you will get to try on yukata, jimbei, and try your hand at hachimaki! Friday at 3:30 PM, Panel 5

Tea Ceremony: Yuko Eguchi will demonstrate the traditional tea ceremony. There will be samples for attendees! 
Friday at 5 PM, Panel 5

From Stage to Screen: Influences from Japanese Theatre in Today's Media: Kevin Nguyen and the Smethursts will shine a light on how Japanese theater traditions, like noh, kabuki, 
and bunraku, continue to influence anime, manga, and TV. 
Saturday at 5 PM, Panel 1
